This Privacy Policy explains what information MZ Horizons („we”, „us”) collects when you visit mzhorizons.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’re two travelers who write about the places we’ve been — not a large company, and we try to collect no more than we actually need.

What we collect

We collect information in a few limited ways:

• Contact form. When you write to us, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send, so we can reply.
• Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and store it with our email provider, MailerLite, so we can send you new stories.
• Usage data. Like most websites, our server and hosting provider automatically log basic technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) for security and to understand how the site is used.
• Cookies. We use a small number of cookies for the site to function correctly (for example, remembering that you’ve seen our cookie notice) and, where enabled, for anonymous traffic analytics.

We do not collect payment information — we’re not a travel agency and don’t process bookings or payments directly on this site.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

• Respond to messages sent through our contact form;
• Send our newsletter to people who’ve asked for it, and let them unsubscribe at any time;
• Keep the site secure and understand, in aggregate, how it’s used;
• Meet legal obligations where required.

We never sell your personal information.

FORA Travel

Where we mention FORA Travel on this site, any booking you make happens directly with FORA or the relevant hotel or service provider — not with us. We don’t receive or store your payment or booking details; those are handled entirely by FORA Travel under their own privacy policy.

Third parties we work with

A few outside services help us run this site, and each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

• MailerLite — stores newsletter subscriber email addresses;
• WPForms — processes contact form submissions;
• Our hosting provider — stores the website and its data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent (for example, by unsubscribing from our newsletter) at any time. To exercise any of these rights, just email us at hello@mzhorizons.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. We’ll update the „Last updated” date above when we do.
