Marek Wróbel is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Optiveum, the boutique IT
recruitment and outsourcing firm he launched in 2020 with Tomasz Polikowski. Over the
past two decades, Marek has built and led recruitment and outsourcing operations for
some of the world's largest staffing organisations — including Hays,
ManpowerGroup and Randstad — working across Poland
and the wider Central and Eastern European region.
His focus has always sat at the intersection of IT recruitment, nearshore team
building and go-to-market strategy for companies expanding into CEE. He has advised
scale-ups, enterprises and PE-backed portfolio companies on everything from single
senior hires to full engineering teams of 20+ people — always with the same
philosophy: verify before you place, and stay involved after the hire.
Outside of Optiveum, Marek has visited more than 60 countries and speaks six
languages — an outlook that shapes how he thinks about cross-border hiring: every
market has its own culture, compliance rules and expectations, and treating CEE as a
single homogeneous talent pool is usually the first mistake companies make.
