After a five month break and a thorough spa for the whole Burj Lake, the famous Dubai fountains will dance to music again. The official reopening is set for 1 October, and this time it is certain, with no Instagram rumours.
The entire lake was drained, the floor was replaced (the old one had developed cracks), the tiles were refreshed, new insulation was added and a fresh coat of paint went on. In short, the fountains got a full lift so they can keep shining for a long time without faults.
And that is only the beginning. In the second phase, planned for 2026, there will be modern technology, a more spectacular choreography and an improved play of light and sound. So it will be even higher, louder and more spectacular.
